Testimonials
We, at “Freshly Fed Pets,” have worked with several clients whose pets have made unbelievable improvements with cancer and other health problems, when they have switched to a mostly raw, carbohydrate free diet. We would like to share with you some of their stories.
As humans, we practice preventative health care by exercising, maintaining a healthy weight, and embracing proper nutrition. We want to avoid sickness and disease. We should exercise the same type of care for our pets starting with a healthy, real food diet. If your pet seems perfectly healthy to you, he still needs to start getting some raw food in his diet. Consider yourself lucky if your pet has done ok on a processed food diet. But remember, pets have been in existence for countless generations, thriving on real food, while commercial pet food has only been in existence for approximately sixty years. Surviving and thriving are totally different.
What will a raw diet do for your pet?
- Healthy pets are much less likely to contract disease that they may come in contact with or that may be lying in their genetics.
- Pets with cancer can improve due to the lack of cancer promoting grains and immune system strengthening. "Do not fast a pet with cancer."
- Arthritis greatly improves; especially with added fish oil and the elimination of heat damaged fats. Many pets can stop taking medication.
- Dogs with hip problems can experience greater mobility due to the major strengthening of muscles, ligaments, and tendons. “Keeping these dogs really lean and muscular is vital.”
- “Doggie odor” is noticeably decreased.
- Stools will have much less odor and will actually become biodegradable.
- Ear and skin problems are 95% eliminated.
- Urinary tract infections are helped due to the large amounts of moisture and the lack of grain material in this diet.
- Dental problems are greatly improved; no more tartar buildup.
- Older pets are amazingly revitalized due to the bioavailability of raw foods.
- Pups will grow slowly and at their natural pace, significantly decreasing the chances of degenerative disease.

Apollo and Boo
Apollo (age 5) and Boo (age 4 months) are both German Shepherds from Europe. Erich (Grasso's German Shepherds) imported them both for our family. They are our pride and joy and have been on Erich's raw diet from the beginning. Apollo has never been sick a day in his life. He is active and agile, has great muscle tone, and is consistently at a perfect weight. Boo is off to a great start on Erich's raw diet. He also is at a perfect weight, very active, healthy and happy! They both are on a fish oil and vitamin supplement, also from Erich. We get many comments on their beautiful, shiny coats and their overall look of health and fitness. We have four dogs and two cats and would never consider feeding any of them anything but a real food diet from Freshly Fed Pets. Exposed was a real eye opener. Thank you Erich!

Jilly
Jilly, a bi-eyed siberian husky, is almost 11 years old now. She is a cancer survivor. When Jilly was about 6, we switched her to a real food diet. When Apollo (above) joined our family, Erich educated us on the benefits of a a raw food diet vs commercial, processed food. Apollo was fortunate to begin his life on the best possible diet. We decided at that point to switch all of our pets to a whole food diet. Today, Jilly is doing so well. She looks and behaves like a 2 year old dog! Her coat is beautiful, she is alert and energetic, and even at 11, she has a beautiful "figure"! We are so grateful that we took Erich's advice.

Daley
We adopted Daley, a beautiful blue eyed siberian husky, from a shelter when she was a puppy. She was a typical puppy mill dog with congenital tendencies towards poor health. She is now 10 years old and has suffered with a weak bladder sphincter all her life. She regularly was given phenylpropanolamine to treat her symptoms. Although this helped, we looked for more natural remedies to solve her problem. We put her on a real food diet when she was 5 years old, hoping to improve her overall health. WIthin several weeks, we began to reduce her dose of phenylpropanolamine with no ill effects. Today, she is only given the drug in the summer months when she is especially warm and drinks a lot more water. She is still very energetic and playful and her overall health has improved considerably. I truly believe that her diet of real food has given her a new lease on life!

Mortigan
Mortigan was such a special dog! Although he is no longer with us, he had a few extra years with the help of a real food diet. Mortigan was 200 lbs when he was 2 years old. His structure was very imbalanced, with an extremely large chest and shoulders and a very small, weak hind end. As a result, he had a very difficult time getting up from laying down, even with our help. Our vet told us that he needed to be as lean as possible because of his abnormal structure. We put Mort on Erich's raw food diet, and over a period of 6 months, Mortigan lost 40 lbs. At a 160 lbs, he was able to get up more easily, he had more energy, and was running around outside with our other dogs. His muscle tone increased, his coat was beautiful and he really seemed like a new dog! When Mortigan was 5, we discovered that half of his brain was a fluid filled cyst. Poor genetics and irresponsible breeding cut short this dog's life. We love you Mort.

Riko
My K-9 Riko has been on a raw diet recommended by Erich. It has resulted in excellent health and great performance.

Stormy
I just wanted to say thank you for all of your guidance and support over the past two years concerning my wonderful boxer Ch. Luckyjades Ridin' The Storm Out, know to his friends as "Stormy". As you know I have been met with much resistance and criticism from other "dog" people regarding my choice to feed Stormy a raw diet. Because of you, your knowledge, and unwavering passion and loyalty for your Bravo products, I have raised a beautiful, energetic, and most importantly, a healthy boxer that is not only a beautiful show dog, but is also my faithful companion and wonderful pet to my husband, two young daughters, and I.
As I told you, Storm finished his American Championship at the tender age of 19 1/2 months old. The one thing that people have always commented on was Stormy's fantastic coat, and I would always tell them it was because he was fed a raw diet of only Bravo products. The results of feeding a raw diet are so apparent in all aspects of this gorgeous dog and people definitely take notice.
Erich, I am so thankful that our paths have crossed and I look forward to a very long relationship with you as I continue to raise all of my future Boxer Champions on the Bravo Raw Diet.
Sincerely,
Your friend

Toby - Incontinence
is stopped in a former Madison Square Garden Champion!
He will be 15 in June 2003,
he is a retired canine athlete and show dog. He has several agility
titles, an obedience title and received his breed championship at the
Westminster Show at Madison Square Garden in1991! He has been having
occasional urine incontinence for the past year. We hesitated feeding
him raw food because of his age, but after consulting with Erich and
others, we gave it a try. Within 2 weeks, the incontinence stopped
and he definitely has more energy than before.
PS- We have been feeding our other dogs raw
food for over a year with good results!

Oliver - No More Hot Spots!
Oliver is my 3 year old lab who experienced several "hot
spot" outbreaks, as a vet tech I tried every medication that I knew
of. After hearing about how natural diets can help many health problems,
I decided to give it a try. Sure enough he has not had a outbreak in
1 year, so far I am really impressed! After all, our pets did not always
have the problems of today's pets, I am a believer 100%.

Sarge
Sarge is a 2-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier
that has suffered from mange outbreaks for the first 2 years of his life.He
has been eating a mostly raw real food diet for one year now and has
not had an outbreak in 11 months. We can't believe it!

Ty
Firstly, the Exposed packet was such an eye opener,
that I find myself reading it over and over ensuring that I fully grasp
the concept. Ty is our year and a half old Dachshund Mix, who due to
a predisposition to back problems must stay lean with strong ligaments
and muscles. After I learned that processed food can not strengthen
muscles, ligaments and tendons like real meat protein can. I decided
to make the switch. Since Ty has been on a raw food diet, she is twice
as much energetic and her muscle tone has increased noticeably. She loves
it!

Nicki - Young Again!
Nicki is a 13-year-old Collie/Shepherd mix that
acts like she is 7 years old again. In the last 2 years her back
end was becoming unable to carry her own weight. X-rays confirmed that
she suffered from hip dysplasia, and arthritis. Even after a year on
prescription meds, she still suffered and her muscles were wasting away.
Our vet said it was the normal aging process. It's been three months
on a mostly raw diet, which consists of real meat, veggies and monitored
exercise, she is now able to move about more freely without pain. Her
muscles have considerably starting to regain their strength and form.
We love our vet, but I think we taught him something this time.

Ace
Ace is a 12-year old German Shepard who was starting
to slow down. Getting up in the morning and long walks were a challenge
for him. I tried Rimadyl and Glucosamine, it helped but I was always
concerned about the side effects I read about. Ace has been eating raw
food since August of 1999. In the last two years he has become
energetic once again, long walks are not a problem anymore, and he is
unbelievably playful again. He hasn't had any Meds in 2 years!

Sherman - Keeping Cancer Contained!
Sherman is a 12-year-old mix who was diagnosed
with Cancer in the nasal passage in 1998 along with severe arthritis.
Sherman literally could not bark and constantly snorted, due to the obstruction
in his nasal cavity. Since being switched to a Raw Food Diet with no
Carbohydrates he has regained his bark, rarely snorts, and is much less
arthritic. After learning that Cancer tends to feed off of carbohydrates,
we eliminated them in his diet. We also learned that a dog's natural
diet is relatively low in carbohydrates so this new diet was actually
his appropriate diet to begin with. He was in such bad shape that we
actually thought the day we would put him to sleep would be here soon.
He has truly been revived, friends are amazed, our neighbors even noticed!
Initially our vet had no idea what we were talking about and thought
we were fooling ourselves, now he is asking us questions!

Bailey - Living with Lupus
Bailey is a 7-year-old German Shepard who has
been diagnosed with Lupus at age 3. Her joints would get swollen and
sore so we were giving her cortisone shots when needed. After reviewing
testimonials of other pets with lupus having excellent results from switching
to real food, I decided it was time to say goodbye to processed food
and give real food a try. Since bailey's transition she is much more
upbeat and mobile, its been about 2 years and NO cortisone shots. We
are amazed and have changed the way we vaccinate too, no more overdoing
it!! Thanks FFP

Lexa - Fit & Trim Once Again!
Lexa is a 10 year old American Pit Bull Terrier
who has fought obesity since the age of 5 and was slowing down rapidly.
I tried every "low calorie" food available and I exercised
her constantly. The vet even recommended a prescription diet for her.
Nothing worked!I I was so mesmerized at the information in Exposed that
I had to try this way of feeding for Lexa. Lexa has been eating real
food for a year and a half now and has regained her youthful figure and
outruns her five-year-old playmate. I would have never thought
it would have worked, I am shocked and so happy to see her enjoy life
again. I encourage any pet owner to try this. It's great, and makes so
much sense!

Zack - No more chronic ear infections!
He is a seven-year-old Lab/Terrier Mix who has
had chronic ear infections since 3 months of age. Zack has not
had and ear infection since December 1999, 2 months after I switched his
diet.

Maxwell
Maxwell is a 4-year-old Shepherd mix that we adopted
over a year ago at the whopping weight of 83 pounds. Despite a year of
tryiny low-cal foods and exercise Max weighed in at his annual exam 10 pounds
heavier. Around that time I began working as an apprentice trainer at
Canine Connection Dog Training
and learned from the owner about the raw diet she was feeding her pugs.
I began researching and realized that this was going to be the perfect
diet to not only help Maxwell lose weight, but that it could help my
other two dogs with various health issues they had been having. This
is Max's before picture. I would like to get him down to a healthy weight
so he can keep up with us and the other dogs when we take hikes in the
woods. In just two weeks he has turned into a different dog. He actually "sings
for his supper".
